Rede ex aequo
rede ex aequo is a non-profit youth association of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex and ally youth from ages 16 to 30 in Portugal. Since 2003, their main goal has been to provide support and information to LGBTI youth regarding sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and sex characteristics, through education, grassroots groups and events.
Here's what's to know about rede ex aequo:
- rede ex aequo has several LGBTI youth groups all over the country and provide LGBTI youth with safe spaces to hang out, share experiences and knowledge;
- The National Trans Youth Group organises meetings directed towards trans, non-binary and questioning youth;
- Their LGBTI Education Project aims to create debate, enlightenment and awareness of LGBTI issues in academic environments;
- They also host several annual events such as the LGBTI Youth Summer Camp and the National Trans Youth Meeting.
