Activism, including that of LGBTQ youth and students, is done on various levels. Be it grassroots organisations and initiative groups or well-established entities working directly with decision makers. Regardless of the level this crucial activity is performed, it aims at reaching to hearts and minds and, most importantly, at
changing attitudes and policies. Whether in Russia or Iceland, Norway or Cyprus, this concept is called ‘advocacy’.
