About the AMC Malta 2016
IGLYO’s Annual Members’ Conference was held in Valletta, Malta, in partnership with our member organisations We Are and Gender Liberation, with additional support from MGRM.
The AMC Valletta 2016 was our largest AMC until 2016, with 65 delegates from the network attending. The three-day event was opened by the Hon. Helena Dalli, Minister for SocialDialogue, Consumer Affairs, and Civil Liberties, who presented the recent legislative changes relating to LGBTQI rightsunder the current Maltese government.
Over the three days, participants took part in a range of capacity-building workshops including media training and advocating for inclusive education. They also participated in a range of statutory meetings and workshops to review and approve IGLYO’s position paper on Intersex, approve the Work Plan and Budget 2017, vote on amendments to governing documents, and elect new Board Members.
Thank you to our local hosts, the IGLYO teams, our funders, volunteers, and everyone who contributed to making this AMC a great one!
