Open Call for a Consultant on Access to Gender Affirming Care for Trans Youth

Are you a researcher passionate about equitable access for trans youth to gender-affirming care? If so we might have the perfect role for you!

Trans people encounter significant challenges in receiving trans-specific healthcare which is accessible, affordable, respectful, and of high quality. Trans youth encounter even greater barriers, such as restrictive laws that limit or prohibit gender-affirming care for minors, healthcare providers taking adult-centric approaches, discrimination, lack of knowledge, and inadequate support from family and social networks.

To begin to create change we are looking for a consultant who can conduct qualitative research to explore the experiences of trans youth in accessing this essential care. This research aims to assess the barriers that young people encounter when accessing trans specific healthcare and the specific needs of trans individuals across Europe.
