Join our upcoming Conference in Ljubljana!
We’re happy to announce our upcoming IGLYO International LGBTQI Youth Conference on Hate Crime & Hate Speech on 8-13 November 2023 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, organised together with our local Member ŠKUC Magnus.
For this year’s conference, our call is divided in two parts: A call for participants, and an additional call to join our Advisory Panel (optional). The deadline to apply is 30 July 2023 at 23:59 CEST.
About the call for participants
Hate speech and hate crime against LGBTQI individuals are rising across Europe, and often young people are the most vulnerable to it. With this in mind, we are looking for 20 LGBTQI young people to join our International Conference on Hate Speech & Crime in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on 8-13 November 2023 (with 8 and 13 being arrival and departure days).
The Conference is open to LGBTQI young people between 18-30 years old from around the Council of Europe countries. And while the fee to participate in the conference is €50 per participant, IGLYO will cover all expenses related to your participation (travel, accommodation, and food).
About the call for the IGLYO Advisory Panel (optional)
In addition to participants, we are also looking for an IGLYO Advisory Panel who would work with us over the next few months to help ensure the success of the International Conference on Hate Speech & Hate Crime. If this experience is successful, you may continue engaging with the IGLYO Programmes Team for the organisation of future events!
How to apply?
Please read through both calls on this page and fill out our application form by Sunday 30 July 2023 at 23:59 CEST to apply as a participant only, or both as a participant and Advisory Panel candidate.
For any questions, please contact our Programmes Manager Viola (she) at viola@iglyo.com.
