Saplinq

Saplinq is a Slovak LGBTI+ organisation located in the second biggest city, Košice. Established in 2012, it has three main areas of work: educational activities (local and European), organising the Košice PRIDE festival, and operating PRIZMA, a community and counselling centre for LGBTI+ people.

Saplinq also has advocacy activities focusing on general but also trans specific issues. They support, develop and educate the Slovak queer movement with a specific focus on young people.

Their mission

Saplinq helps and contributes to the building of a community of LGBTI+ / queer people. They search for, support, and develop initiatives of queer people. They also provide consulting assistance to queer initiatives.

Saplinq builds and extends the networks of queer activists in Slovakia and interconnects them with foreign countries. They teach, educate and lead the future queer leaders. And they promote personal responsibility in relation to the public issues, to everyone's own life, and to the search for and fulfilment of everyone's own happiness.
