About

Moldox Association's Queer Community Cafe

Moldox Association is a non-governmental organisation dedicated to advancing human rights in republic of Moldova. Their inception stemmed from the establishment of the Moldox International Documentary Film Festival, a seminal event amplifying a spectrum of narratives and addressing pressing socio-political issues.

Building upon this foundation, they spearheaded the Queer Voices International Film Festival, an initiative aimed at elevating LGBTQ+ voices and narratives worldwide. Recognising the need for tangible support and inclusivity, they subsequently founded the Queer Community Cafe — a multifaceted hub designed to foster a sense of belonging, acceptance, and social cohesion among LGBTQ+ individuals.

Through curated artistic programming and community engagement initiatives, the Queer Community Cafe serves as a beacon of empowerment, challenging societal norms and advocating for the full realisation of human rights for all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Their mission

The mission of Moldox Association is to promote human rights and social justice through international documentary film festivals, and to collaborate with grassroots organisations to advocate for the rights of all individuals.

For the LGBTQ+ community specifically, their mission is to provide a platform for their voices to be heard and celebrated, both through their festivals and through targeted initiatives aimed at raising awareness and fostering acceptance within Moldovan society.

Moldox is committed to creating a more inclusive and equitable world where LGBTQ+ rights are upheld and respected.
