Q – Queer Student Association of Iceland (félag hinsegin stúdenta) was founded in 1999 with the name FSS - félag samkynhneigðra stúdenta (the association of gay students). The name was changed in 2008 to Q in order to be more inclusive to all queer people.
The association fights for the rights of queer people and organises various events such as art markets, educational trips for other student associations, and parties.
Q aims to unify queer students, advocate for queer rights within and outside universities, and work for better queer education, discussion, and research.
