LIGHT* is a student association at Comenius University in Bratislava. Our mission is to provide a welcoming and safe environment for young queer people, students, staff, and anyone seeking a supportive community where they can connect and express their true selves.
Through our activities, we promote awareness of queer issues and contribute to the university's inclusivity, working towards positive change in the society.
We aim to extend the principles of freedom and acceptance beyond our small community to the wider society. Our vision is to create a sustainable community association that can inspire change toward greater inclusiveness and equality. We are committed to building a movement and actively participating in the fight for a better future for all.
Through our involvement in activism – such as demonstrations, petitions, public statements, and open letters – we respond to and raise awareness about current events. We also use our social media platforms not only to announce and promote our events but to educate our followers on important topics.
