Homosexuelle Initiative (HOSI) Wien

HOSI Wien was founded in 1979. They are Austria’s oldest and most important lesbian and gay organisation and, since 2010, their headquarter is located in Vienna’s 4th district.

One of their many tasks is political lobbying, and their advocacy activities are targeted towards government ministers, members of Parliament and other politicians, as well as political parties and authorities, the media and the public in general to promote the causes of the LGBTIQ+ Community.

HOSI Wien also offers queers, especially young ones, support during their coming-out journey, and in cases of discrimination based on sexual orientation. Their community centre is also a point of contact for all kinds of information regarding homosexuality.
